Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, during the launch of the Lagos-Calabar highway project in the state, stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will complete his full eight-year term.

Governor Eno who is a member of the opposition people’s democratic party, also emphasized his administration's commitment to working with Tinubu's government to promote unity and development, regardless of party affiliation.

The Peoples Democratic Party, Governors' Forum held its annual meeting over the weekend in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, where key resolutions were made, some of which include, the party agreeing not to merge with any other political entity, but welcomes those willing to join them to gain power in 2027.

The Forum resolved to approach the Supreme Court for a clear interpretation of the law, regarding the declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State and also expressed solidarity with Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State.

The governors also expressed concern over the recent attacks in Plateau, Borno, Katsina, and Edo States and called for a review of security strategies.

Meanwhile, Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde, after the meeting hosted a Gala Night in honour of the PDP Governors.

The night featured cultural performances, traditional displays, and fine dining all in a show of unity among the party leaders, and as expected, Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, lit up the night with his signature dance moves!

Nigerians have reacted to a video showing Chinese nationals giving cash to officers of the Nigeria Police Force.

The video, which has since sparked a wave of criticism, shows a male Chinese national distributing N5,000 cash to the police officers, and then a female Chinese national followed suit.
