There's been quite a bit of curiosity about the red bands around my ankles on photos and video of my winter trips. In this video, I share the story behind how I was introduced to them while working in northern Sweden, why they're so useful in cold environments, and demonstrate how I was shown to tie them (with some neat knot techniques!). These bands have been a reliable part of my winter gear for many years, and after watching, I hope you'll understand why.
