Aleuria aurantia Cáscara de naranja - Orange Peel Fungus

Una especie que llama la atención por su color naranja, tiene forma de copa o disco con ondulaciones y pliegues. Es comestible pero no tiene un sabor destacable, por ello es mejor dejarla en su hábitat para seguir con su ciclo de vida

Descripción:
-Cuerpo fructífero que puede llegar a los 10 cm de diámetro, pero lo normal es que solo lleguen a 6 cm, tiene forma de disco o copa, sobre todo cuando es joven, pero a medida que crece se suele aplanar u ondular formando como pliegues. La superficie interior que es la parte fértil es lisa y tiene un color naranja rojizo muy llamativo. Los bordes suelen estar ondulados y enrollados y la superficie exterior es de color blanquecino
-Pie: No tiene pie
-Carne: escasa, elástica, frágil, delgada de color naranja claro y con sabor y olor sueve
-Comestibilidad: comestible incluso en crudo, de las pocas setas de este tipo que es comestible, el resto son tóxicas. Se suele utilizar como decoración de ensaladas o para aromatizar bebidas alcohólicas, no obstante, es una seta rara, pequeña, de carne escasa y poco sabrosa, por ello hay que dejarla en su hábitat.
-Hábitat: Crece sobre todo en los caminos de los bosques (en este caso en un hayedo) directamente del suelo cuando hay humedad
-Época: En primavera u otoño con humedad
-Lugar: Álava, País Vasco

Description:

-Edibility: Edible even raw; one of the few mushrooms of this type that is edible, the rest are toxic. It is often used to garnish salads or to flavor alcoholic beverages; however, it is a rare, small mushroom with sparse and rather bland flesh, so it should be left in its natural habitat.
-Habitat: It grows mainly along forest paths (in this case, in a beech forest) directly from the ground when there is moisture.
