Working the first section of our sampler pattern in cloth stitch.
The pricking used is a very simple straight strip with measurements of:
Length: 15cm - 6 inches
Width: 1 cm - 3/8 inch
Pinholes are set at every 0.5cm/1/6 inch down each side (but staggered so the first pinhole on the left is at 0.5cm, the pinhole on the right is at 0.3cm/1/8 inch, then both sides are spaced at 0.5cm/1.6 inch - this makes the zig zag trail)
Using 4 pairs of coloured passives and one worker pair.
Cloth stitch can be thought of as either:
Cross, twist, cross (c, t, c) or
Bobbin 2 over 3, bobbins 2 and 4 over bobbins 1 and 3, bobbin 2 over 3
