SW coast path Ilfracombe to Woolacombe or Croyde
Join me on Part 5 of my South West Coast Path adventure from Ilfracombe to Woolacombe, or maybe Croyde.
I leave my van at Braunton and catch the No21B bus to Ilfracombe.
It’s not long before we are climbing out of civilisation and up over the cliffs towards Lee.
There’s a steep climb out of Lee to some broken cliffs and on to Bull Point lighthouse.
Just before Morte Point, we stop to watch some seals swim about and then head onto Windy Cove. We kept our eyes peeled but did not see any cabbages escaping from Lundy Island. We did see the MS Obenburg earlier though.
At Woolcombe we had to decide whether to risk reaching Croyde in 3 hours to catch the bus back to Braunton or taking a bus now outside The Barn, formerly known as The Red Barn.
On account of being absolutely knackered we caught the 303 bus back to my van at Braunton.
