==========================
On September 14, 2025, Japan Symphony Brass celebrated its tenth anniversary with a special commemorative concert.
Ten years ago, here in Osaka, a single note was born—quietly, yet unmistakably.
It was a sound as fleeting and nameless as a passing breeze,
and yet within it resided a clear and unwavering resolve:
to give voice to prayer, to give voice to hope, and to give voice to the future.
Inheriting the rich tradition and dignity of the British brass band style,
we have walked forward only with sound, with light, and with our very souls as our companions.
In each note that proclaims “Let there be light!”,
we have confronted the profound spirit of The Salvation Army,
and woven melodies that gently accompany the hearts of all who listen.
Throughout these ten years, what we have continued to create is more than mere music.
It is an unseen yet unmistakable presence—hope itself,
a small but steady light kindled within wounded hearts.
And today, our journey reaches an important milestone.
As we mark this tenth anniversary, a long-held dream is now becoming reality.
We are deeply honored to welcome Mr. Hajime Suzuki—
former Bandmaster of The Salvation Army Japan Staff Band,
and a bringer of hope through music to countless individuals—
as the conductor of the second half of this concert.
To all who have gathered here to share this day with us,
may the “sound of hope” we offer unite our hearts as one,
and may it remain close to yours until the very last note.
