I picked up this 1989 Ford F250 for FREE and set out to see if I could get it running and driving again. The truck had a crunched driver’s door that I beat back into shape with a sledgehammer, years of algae and grime baked into the paint, and a whole list of hidden issues.
After some cleaning, wrenching, and a few unexpected breakdowns, I finally got it back on the road. My goal was to repair this truck for almost nothing — and I came close. In the end, I only spent $150 to bring this old Ford back to life.
