झणझणीत रस्सा तयार करण्यासाठी लागणारे साहित्य:
किसलेले खोबरे
आलं
लसूण
कोथिंबीर
कडीपत्ता
दालचिनी
१ चमचा तीळ
१ चमचा लाल मिरची पावडर
१/२ चमचा गरम मसाला
१ टोमॅटो
१ कांदा
चवीनुसार मीठ
बटाटेवडा तयार करण्यासाठी लागणारे साहित्य:
उकडलेले बटाटे
कोथिंबीर
कडीपत्ता
हिरव्या मिरच्या
आलं
लसूण
जिरे
१ कप बेसन
२ चमचे तांदळाचे पीठ
Ingredients required to spicy Rassa:
grated coconut
ginger
garlic
coriander leaves
curry leaves
cinnamon
1 tsp sesame seeds
1 tsp red chilly powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1 tomato
1 onion
salt to taste
Ingredients required to Batatawada:
boiled potatoes
ginger
garlic
coriander leaves
curry leaves
green chilies
cumin seeds
1 cup besan
2 tsp rice flour
salt to taste
Method:
Steps to make spice Rassa:
Add oil into a pan and add chopped onion into it. Fry onion until it truns brownish.
Now, add grated coconut, ginger-garlic, sesame seeds, and chopped tomato one by one to the mixture and fry well.
Keep the mixture aside to cool it off.
Once it is cool, add coriander leaves to the mixture and grind it into a fine paste.
Add adequate amount of oil to the pan and once the oil is warm, add black mustard seeds, cumin seeds, cinnamon, curry leaves, hing, and turmeric powder to the pan one by one.
Lastly add the paste to the pan and fry it well.
Now, add 1 tsp red chilly powder and 1/2 tsp garam masala and fry it well.
Add 1 glass of hot water and salt to taste.
Add coriander leaves and let it cook for 10 minutes.
Spice rassa is ready.
Steps to make Batatawada:
Take 2 tsp oil in a pan.
Add black mustard seeds, cumin seeds, hing, and curry leaves in the pan and fry it well.
Now, add a fine ground paste of green chilies, ginger, and garlic to the pan.
Fry it well.
Now, add boiled potatoes, and mash those.
Add 1/2 tsp coriander powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, and 1/2 tsp raw mango powder to the mixture along with salt to taste.
Mix everything well and fry it.
Lastly add some coriander leaves.
Potato filling is ready.
Steps to make besan coating:
Take 1 cup besan and 2 tsp rice flour in a bowl.
Add water gradually as per the need and mix it well.
Add salt to taste, hing, turmeric powder, carom seeds, and baking soda to the mixture and mix it well.
Besan coating mixture is ready.
Now, the next step is to fry Batatawada.
Make small flat balls of potato filling.
Coat each ball with besan coating and fry on medium flame.
Crispy Batatawada is ready.
You can also fry some green chilies as a side for Vada Rassa.
