Director Stephen Blake gave evidence at the inquiry into the deaths of 72 people killed in the fire.
Blake promoted "young progressive team" with no prior experience. Rydon met council before contract awarded and won project by being cheapest bid. Rydon later made savings during construction by switching to cheaper and more dangerous cladding. Rags Martel reports.
