Aaron Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man (1942) was arranged for the organ at Cathedral of St. John the Divine, NYC by Dorothy Papadakos. St. Paul’s Schoenstein tuba substitutes for the cathedral’s state trumpet. This fanfare became the most popular of eighteen commissioned by the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra during WWII.
