The mini-album “Refuse the Name” is a philosophical journey charting an active realization: that 'misfortune' is not an objective reality, but merely a 'name' we assign to our suffering.

Inspired by Boethius's “The Consolation of Philosophy,” this album begins with an inner reflection on “what I possess” (Track 1), moves through a clear, rational “admonition” on the nature of fate (Track 2), and finally arrives at a mature declaration to “refuse the name” itself (Track 3).

Through a soundscape of warm organic folk, cold baroque pop, and an anthemic chamber pop sound that envelops it all, listeners will deeply experience the album's core message: the peace that comes from accepting one's fate.

“Refuse the Name” is a conceptual mini-album about finding peace not by changing our fate, but by changing how we perceive it. It explores themes of acceptance, gratitude, and the realization that 'misfortune' is a name we have the power to refuse.

[00:00] Track 1. What I Possess (Male Vocal)
Starting with the question, "Why do I feel unfortunate?", this warm, organic folk track reflects on the value of the 'life' and 'moment' one already possesses.

[05:00] Track 2. Lady Philosophy's Admonition (Female Vocal)
This track marks a tonal shift in the album. In the voice of 'Lady Philosophy,' this striking baroque pop song—featuring the harpsichord—firmly declares that the whims of fortune are merely the law of nature.

[09:01] Track 3. Refuse the Name (Duet / Male & Female)
The grand finale that completes the album's theme: "If I don't call it by that name, misfortune ceases to exist." The narrators from Tracks 1 and 2 meet to build hopeful harmonies in this anthemic chamber pop duet.
