BOSNIA: BIHAC: RIVAL MUSLIM FORCES CONTINUE FIGHTING

Fighting between rival Muslim forces is continuing in the Bihac enclave of Bosnia- Herzegovina.

Soldiers loyal to renegade Muslim leader Fikret Abdic have been bombarding an area outside the town of Velika Kledusa.

The town - on the northern edge of the Bihac pocket - is held by Fikret Abdic's soldiers.

More than 250 shells and mortars landed east of Velika Kledusa in a 24-hour period leading up to Thursday morning, says the U-N.

Rebel Muslims and government forces are fighting for disputed land about 12 kms outside the town.

The government 5th corps entered Velika Kladusa last summer and briefly controlled it.
Last December, the town was re-taken and the fighting has continued ever since with rebel Serbs in Bosnia and Croatia, and their renegade Muslim allies, surrounding the Bihac enclave and battling the Bosnian army for control of it.

Fikret Abdic has rebelled against Bosnian government and is fighting for an autonomous region.
