Norfolk Southern C64 escorts a fresh rebuild from Horizon Rail on the FP&E Railroad

NS 5639 on the C64 local which originates out of Conneaut Ohio and runs to Fairport Harbor and Painesville Twp on the former FP&E line. In Fairport they have Horizon Rail as a customer who rebuilds and occasionally scraps locomotives. Today they had HRZX 1501 which was previously Flats Industrial Railroad FIR 1222 and had been dormant in Cleveland for several years after that railroad shut down.
We picked up the train crossing Fairport Nursery Rd, got ahead again at Bowhall Rd and Lane Rd, then filmed them passing the nursery alond Shepard Rd. Once they got to Perry they shoved the 1501 on the CSX interchange tracks. Then 5639 proceeded to the east end of Perry and had to wait for a mixed freight with NS 1101 leading before racing off to Conneaut.
