KBDFans Agar ($115) vs Qwertykeys Neo60 Core ($89) | MX2A Blacks | GMK | No Foam | Soundtest

This is quite the showdown. Two hella heavy hitters in the $100 category. the neo60 core is $89 config as shown here but is being run plateless. If we add the alu plate (which i dont have), the neo60 would come in at $110.

Both are running MX2A Blacks. I personally prefer the Agar over the neo60, both in looks and in form factor. I much prefer hhkb over winkey. In this test the neo60 is coming in clackier though. I did mention in my Agar video the agar was picking up some slight thunk but i liked it.

The neo60 core is also running SWK Ghost Dragon spacebar which is goated, i suspect if i put in a ghost dragon the agar would pull up in clack slightly.

Both boards are insane value. Either is hella solid pickup even if your collection is all high end premium boards. I caught myself running the neo60 core for days before noticing that i was on my lowest priced board in my collection. I suspect the agar will take that spot now for a bit. I really like the pink ano and curves on this board. Recency bias aside. This board is so nice. If i had to retire and cash out my whole collection and was forced to just keep one budget board, i would not sweat to run the agar only. If i got to keep a expensive board then cloudnine would take the cake. Let me know what you think. Which board would you prefer if you had to choose? This hobby be wild in 2025.
