The Thames Estate Car is based on Ford UK's Thames 400E van, in 'estate car' configuration, meaning it had 8-10 seats. There were regular van versions with special bodies available, and also a larger 12 seat minibus. My casting was in a bad way, having lost its window to the depths of its interior where it had become stuck. The model had then been doused in red paint, that on top of the casting had covered the wheels and specs had even reached that displaced window piece. The Tamiya paints I chose for this resto really match quite nicely, and I am very happy with the outcome!
