Montgomery KONE Moving Walkways @ Somerset Collection Skywalk - Troy, MI

These are the moving walkways in the Skywalk at Somerset Collection in Troy.

The Skywalk goes over Big Beaver Road, connecting Somerset Collection North and Somerset Collection South. In each direction there are three moving walks. One short moving walk goes over one parking lot, one long one goes over Big Beaver Road, and another short one goes over the other parking lot leading into the mall. There is also walking space between the walks, and emergency exit stairs between the pairs.

The Skywalk is well known for its announcement, "You have reached the end of the Skywalk. Please watch your step." This announcement plays at pre-set times through a speaker in the ceiling at the end of each moving walk.

Unfortunately, one of the long walks was down for maintenance. I saw two KONE techs working on it earlier that day, and two KONE vans were parked in the North parking deck. All of the steps were completely removed.
