🕊️ Funeral & Memorial Details
• Dr. Micus Chimbombi passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, after a short illness, at age 65. He was serving as Minister of Lands & Agriculture and MP for Kgalagadi South.
• The government announced that his funeral will take place on Sunday in Makopong village, Kgalagadi.
• A memorial service in Gaborone will be held at the University of Botswana Indoor Sports Arena. The event is reserved for Members of Parliament and dignitaries. Parliament will not sit that day.
• Evening prayers were scheduled at the family farm in Tloaneng on Monday, and followed in Makopong village, continuing until the burial.
