Cypress's Black Mountain summit was originally served by a Murray-Latta double chair, accurately named Black. Sometime in the 1990's or so, the lift was renamed to Eagle, and sson after, a replacement came along. In 2001, Cypress Mountain invested in there first high-speed lift, replacing Eagle with Eagle Express.
Eagle Express is a Doppelmayr high-speed quad. It uses all standard Doppelmayr equipment for the time, and is also one of the last chairs to use UNI "Spacejet" style terminals before they were phased out. It is one of six chairs in 2001 that became the last of its kind to roll off the assembly line.
