Reborn in Crimson

Made June 2025.

The Crimson Lich is reborn. All hail the Crimson Lich.

After having been defeated in the final battle, the lich was transported to a pocket realm afterlife dimension and wiped of his memories. As the traveler, he subsequently set out to survive and liberate the pocket dimension. Tempted by the dark magic of the Tome of Eyes and the cosmic worm, he inadvertently destroyed the entire realm, traversed the void and convinced the black siren of the abyss to grant him back his memories. After a painful rebirth into the lands of the living, the he found that the world has changed, and only his majestic power and armies of undeath can return the realm to its former glory.

Genres: Synth Death Metal, Black Metal, Dungeon Synth,

Drums: Sp404 Alesis SR 18 samples mixed with acoustic drum samples
Bass: Roland JD-08
Rhythm +: Leads: Arp 2600 fed through tons of distortion, and some
Solo Leads: Syntronik Oberheim / OBXA played with the Arturia Keylab

Dungeon synth sections all done using the Emu Emulator 2 softsynth from Arturia fed into the Sonicware Texturelab. Drums were random 90s Alesis and Roland percussions played through the sp404.The Dungeon synth sections are mostly improvised.

Artwork done in pencil, photo'd, loaded into Procreate, and drawn over, then hit with filters in GIMP.

Everything was fed into the sp404 and hit hard with Cassette emulation effects and Vinyl 303 compression.


Awakened in the lake of blood

the unholy spores

Etched in the dripping edge
Of the sacred axe!

For the blood left unspilled

A vile squall approaches
Of vengeance and despair
The enemies who remain
Will be subject to great poison

And pestilence

A cleaved head has no voice
To speak your treasonous lies
Your treachery!

I summon the Hydra
Set loose upon your cities
the burning hounds with jaws of flame
To consume your weakness!

With blood magic I flay
The flesh of your soldiers
Piles of corpses to add
To the Eternal
Phalanx
of Undeath

I don the porcelain mask
I speak my unholy command
And the shambling masses obey
And the Black knights shall kneel

The era of crimson
The golems of flesh
The new king of bones
To usher an age of oppression

The realms of torrid nightmares
This is what you deserve

I am crimson lich
The master of all
