SCHOOL OF TYRANNUS PART 3

Today we are looking from 1 Cor 1:18 onwards.

The gospel is not preached based on any earthly wisdom but only through heavenly wisdom.

People have misunderstood the gospel due to various reasons for its projection. Also, because of misguided testimonies.

A lot of people tell others don’t look at Christians, look at Jesus. This won’t help. Because a lot of people are yearning to see God through the living epistles of Christ - which is you and me. And if we don’t reflect Him well, then how will the Word understand the gospel?

The fourth gospel is you and your lifestyle in Christ. The message of the gospel is foolishness to this perishing but to

God destroys the wisdom of the wise by uplifting the lowly so that no one can claim its because their wisdom the message of the cross reaches many places.

The cross isn’t a good or great symbol. It’s the ultimate punishment given to dangerous criminals.

In men’s wisdom, they crucified Christ; but that marked the beginning of a deliverance that is orchestrated by the wisdom of God. This is a great mystery which is still unveiling and will be done only when Jesus comes back.

For the world crucifixion would be the biggest failure but for the one who believes it is the gift of everlasting eternal life. It is the supernatural power of God working in everyone who trusts in the death and resurrection of Christ.

It’s not a mere gold thing or a photo but emended in the tablet of one’s heart. In such a revelation we will be able to grow if we yield to the Holy Spirit.

For a plane to stay in control of the different airport signals which control its landing and taking off needs immense hard and brains to come together to develop such a software. And, God controls our life, this universe and everything beneath with such a pearl of magnificent wisdom and calls us special and His own.

If God has to talk from His wisdom: we mere humans will not understand. God spoke as such to Job and he was silent.

So God decided to take form as a man, and Jesus came down to speak to us so that we could understand God.

So finally God decided that at least through the foolishness of the cross; we would see the hidden and lofty wisdom of God so that it could lead us toward Him.

If was the foolishness of filling the water in jars; that God used to turn into wine.

This God is beyond the universe and His wisdom is vast and too wonderful to comprehend.

Paul is encouraging the believers that this is the God about whom he is talking to them. Amid a generation that is looking for wisdom and signs, Paul says, that He is only committed to preaching the crucified and resurrected Christ in whom lies all wisdom and signs of greatness. And, to all who believe the cross will reflect as the immense wonder and power of God.

Salvation attained on the cross is the power of God and wisdom of God.

In 2000 years the power of the cross still works beyond imagination attracting many to this everlasting life attained on the cross. 1 Cor 1: 25- 26 “For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength. Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth.”

We are all, individually, His wisdom. Let us go to the cross once again, and confess our mistakes and faults. So that He can open our hearts to understand His foolishness which is wiser than any of our wisdom. Let us trust this God who through His foolishness shames every wisdom we have ever attained. Let us earnestly seek to know Him more and be cleaved to His wisdom even when we don’t understand what He is doing behind the scenes.
