It was a journey making this video, I hope you enjoy it! :D
Also man, it’s gonna be awkward if only Pulsus people watch this video since I tried to make it open to all audiences and made the commentary more directed towards non-Pulsors…

Also, apologies if the volume's wonky, I have 0 clue on how to balance audio and volume varies a lot for Pulsus songs while hitsound are a constant volume.
I’ll just put a little more detailed summary of Pulsus here since I want to write something else here:
Pulsus is a rhythm game based on a 3x3 grid, meaning it's a 9k game. However, people don’t play with 9 fingers, instead the optimal playstyle (currently) is what’s called 4 finger, which uses a similar structure to any 4k VSRG, using both of your index and middle fingers. Due to this, Pulsus mapping adopts a style that has a much greater emphasis on making patterns complex through hand movements, stretches, and rotations rather than changing how a player’s fingers hit a pattern. For example, crosshands, where the player’s hand moves to the opposite side of the board to hit a note, are a common pattern that’s used for emphasis, representation, and variety. Additionally, some maps may require the use of more fingers or intend for less fingers to be used, depending on the mapper’s intent. If you were to transcribe Pulsus inputs to a 4k VSRG, the map would feel extremely simple because of how important the movement, rotation, and stretch factors are. This sort of freedom is why I love Pulsus since maps are able to have so much cool variety and representation that leads to them feeling fun and bouncy. The effect editor’s a bonus on top of all this since, while it’s extremely limited, there’s still so much that can be done and the limitations make the end result of these effects all the more incredible.
