Although it's the least expensive part of the arcade joystick, the E-Clip is one of the most important components - it holds together the entire shaft assembly. Also, it can be the trickiest part to work with. Removing and replacing the E-Clip takes a bit of skill, basic tools and a lot of patience.
In this video I demonstrate how to safely remove and replace the E-Clip on arcade joysticks. No special tools are required.
The video shows how to work with the E-Clip on a Sanwa JLF Joystick, but the exact same process applies to all joysticks including Qanba Gravity Silent Joysticks (JOV8S and JCV8), the Seimitsu LS-56-01 Joystick, and any other joysticks from Sanwa, Seimitsu, Samducksa (Crown), Qanba, etc.
