Enterocytozoon hepatopenaei (EHP) is one of the major diseases that plague aqua farmers. Thousands of crores are lost every year due to this disease. Due to this disease, growth in shrimps is completely reduced, loose shell occurs in shrimps and size variation occurs. This disease should be diagnosed by PCR test in the lab.
A high power bleaching application and application of potassium permanganate solution to the pond will kill the spores of this disease completely.
