The HARDEST Half Marathon I've Ever Done! Running The Sussex Downs Half Marathon

The Sussex Downs Half Marathon is a race put on by UK Running Events as part of their Run Rebel Trail Run Series.

With 2023 drawing to a close, I was keen to sign up to at least one more race before the year was out. After one of my friends, who had entered the race, suggested I sign-up, I decided to throw my hat (or running shoes) into the ring and I entered.

The race is hosted at Plumpton Race Course, in Lewes, East Sussex, in South East England, and takes in some of the magnificent Sussex country side.

Featuring temperatures hovering around 0 degrees Celsius, over 1,800 feet of climbing, frozen and muddy conditions, constantly changing terrain and 13.1 miles, this was set to be one of the hardest half marathons I've ever done. This video documents my experience.
