Endometriosis is a long-term condition in which the tissue that forms on the lining of the womb (uterus) begins to grow in other parts of the body.
06:27 ADENOMYOSIS - For more information go to - https://bit.ly/3paQxaC
Adenomyosis is a long-term condition that affects significant numbers of women. It occurs when the cells that line the womb, called endometrium, are found in the muscle wall of the womb, called myometrium.
08:57 VAGINISMUS - For more information go to - https://bit.ly/3xAbNuf
Vaginismus occurs when the muscles of a women’s vagina involuntary tighten, causing the entrance to the vagina to spasm. This can cause discomfort and pain, which can range from being mildly uncomfortable to very painful.
10:01 DYSMENORRHEA - For more information go to - https://bit.ly/3xxM5GT
Dysmenorrhea (sometimes spelled dysmenorrhoea) is the medical term for menstrual cramps — pain before and during your period. It is a normal part of a woman’s menstrual cycle.
Menstrual cramps are felt as painful muscle cramps in the abdomen, although the pain can spread to the lower back and upper thighs.
11:03 UTERINE FIBROIDS - For more information go to - https://bit.ly/316zr5K
Uterine fibroids are small growths that develop in or around the womb (uterus). In the majority of cases, they are non-cancerous (benign). The growths attach themselves to the wall of the uterus and vary in size from a few millimetres to several centimetres. They are made up from tissue, such as muscle.
13:25 POLYCYSTIC OVARIAN SYNDROME (PCOS) - For more information go to - https://bit.ly/3CVg6BD
Polycystic ovary syndrome is a common condition that affects how a woman’s ovaries work. In a healthy period (menstrual cycle), the ovaries release an egg each month. When you have polycystic ovarian syndrome, the egg may not develop or be released during ovulation as normal. This can lead to missed or irregular periods.
15:10 PELVIC ORGAN PROLAPSE - For more information go to - https://bit.ly/3I0DLnT
A pelvic organ prolapse occurs when the muscles and ligaments that support the organs in your pelvic area become weak. These organs, such the womb, bladder and bowel, can then slip down from their natural position, creating a bulge in the vagina. This bulge is called a prolapse.
17:14 VULVODYNIA - For more information go to - https://bit.ly/3cUFpJk
Vulvodynia is a long-term pain condition of the vulva (the opening to the vagina). The condition is usually described as a burning, stinging, itching or rawness sensation.
18:53 INTERSTITIAL CYSTITIS (IC) - For more information go to - https://bit.ly/3I457t6
