Solo Kayak Camping Escape with Campfire Cooking!

Join me on a serene solo overnight kayak camping escape as I paddle down the majestic Mad River from Lions Club Park to US 36 in Urbana. In this video, I'll take you through the tranquil waters of the upper Mad River during a beautiful warm mid March day as part of my annual 4 part section paddle.

After finding a secluded spot along the river bank, I set up my hammock and enjoy cooking some good food over the fire and a relaxing right on the rivers edge with a beautiful sunset. After a perfect sunrise on day two and cooking breakfast over the fire I made a quick stop at Birch Bark Livery before finishing up this quick escape just before the low head dam at US 36 in Urbana.
