How to treat tummy tuck scar using lasers (VBeam and fractional CO2) and topical steroid

Traumatic and post surgical scars including scars caused by cosmetic procedures such as a tummy tuck, breast lift or reduction, and facelift can be treated using lasers and topical steroids.
In this video, Dr. Shaun Patel of Miami Skin and Vein shows how he treats tummy tuck scars. First he treats the scar using the VBeam Perfecta 595 nm pulsed dye laser to address redness, inflammation and blood vessels. He follows this my treating the scar in the same session using a fractional CO2 laser to soften the scar and improve texture. Finally, he applies a topical steroid to the skin which is better absorbed because of the prior laser treatment in a process called laser assisted drug delivery.
Dr. Patel usually recommends 3 treatment sessions spaced apart at 6 week intervals for noticeable improvement in the scar.
