My 3rd model is Davey Allison's Texaco Havoline Ford Thunderbird from the early 1990's.
This model isnt really built to any specific year however it's probably closest to the 1991 version. Davey of course pretty much ran in a #28 Texaco Havoline Ford for his entire Winston Cup career. This particular paint scheme debuted at the start of the 1991 season and was run till Davey's death in July of 1993. This exact scheme was actually used until the end of 1993 with drivers Lake Speed and Ernie Irvan before the number style changed for 1994.
Davey had the final 11 of his 19 cup series wins in this scheme including the 1992 Daytona 500.
It was also the car that nearly carried Davey to the 1992 Winston Cup Championship but eventually finished 3rd in the standings, tying his best title finish with his 3rd in 1991.
Model was built in September 2011.
