Niwot High placed five scorers in the top 10 and had all seven athletes finish among the first 40 competitors in the boys Class 5A final at the Colorado High School Activities Association state championships at Norris Penrose Event Center in Colorado Springs. Hunter Robbie, a senior, covered the 5-kilometer layout in 15:06.4 to secure second, junior Quinn Sullivan took third in 15:14.3, Jude Ritzenhein achieved the fastest time by a freshman in any classification in meet history by clocking 15:19.4 to secure sixth, senior Ryder Keeton achieved seventh in 15:21.6 and senior Gabriel Marshall earned 10th in 15:27.1 for the Cougars, who also had junior Garrett Sherrard grab 35th in 16:10.0 and senior Rocco Culpepper take 37th in 16:11.7. Niwot accumulated 28 points and produced the fastest team time, regardless of classification, in meet history at 76:29, improving on its own mark of 78:52 last season. The Cougars captured back-to-back team titles in Class 5A, after winning the Class 4A crown in 2023. Niwot has five boys cross country championships in program history, along with 2019 and 2020 in Class 4A.
