【Main Content】Both scattered and feeble pulses indicate critical conditions where the Zang-fu organ Qi is on the verge of exhaustion. However, these two pulses are not similar in their pulse features. A scattered pulse is mainly characterized as floating without root, irregular in rhythm, rate and strength, and hard to determine how many pulsations in a minute. A feeble pulse is described as extremely thin and soft, not palpable with light pressure and not evident under heavy pressure.

【Description】: The Chinese pulse is easy to understand. I am a native-Chinese speaker and a TCM practitioner in Canada. While many English speakers translate TCM concepts in different ways and, sometimes, cause different understandings of the same TCM concept, my goal is to help clarify the original meanings of TCM terms and help to find the connections between different concepts and theories to see the big picture of TCM. #pulsediagnosis #tcm #yinyang #chinesemedicine
