Sabrina is an American movie written and directed by Billy Wilder and interpreted by Audrey Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart and William Holden.
The film tells the story of a shy and gentle girl (Sabrina Fairchild) starring Audrey Hepburn, daughter of the driver of a billionaire family, the Larrabee.
Sabrina is madly in love with David Larrabee interpreted by William Holden, but unfortunately his love is not reciprocated.
This throws into absolute despair the girl who attempts suicide but is saved by Linus thankfully, played by Humphrey Bogart, David's brother.
Linus great businessman, trying in every way to send Sabrina to Paris.
Its objective is to arrange a marriage between his brother David and a girl belonging to a family that owns vast sugar cane plantations and therefore benefit for Larrabee.
But his objective will be overwhelmed by the sudden love to Sabrina.
The film is one of the masterpieces of the romantic genre and received 6 Nominations for the Academy Awards in 1955.
Sabrina won 1 Oscar for Best Costume Design, Black and White by Edith Head.
Audrey Hepburn gets her second Oscar nomination.
Refined and elegant, Audrey Hepburn gives one of the most beautiful performance of the romantic film, with which it is impossible, any form of remakes of films and discussion.
William Holden worked for the third time with Billy Wilder after the great success of Sunset Boulevard and Stalag 17.
Unusual role of Humphrey Bogart who certainly is remembered for the roles of gangsters. In Sabrina, faces a romantic role and his performance is perfect and convincing.
Music for this tribute is "She makes my day" by Robert Palmer.
Thank you very much to my friend Craig (MADWORLD1427) for suggesting this wonderful song!
