Nega in the english dictionary “denoting the negative counterpart of a unit of measurement, in particular a unit of energy saved (energy conservation) as a result of conservation measures. Negawatt is a negative or an inverse megawatt, hypothetical unit of power for measuring the amount of energy saved. Negawatts are a form of encouragement to motivate consumers to conserve energy. Precise measurement of negawatt may be implemented by means of Smart Meters.
