plant load factor means plf and Plant Availability Factor means paf which are the very basic thing for any base load thermal power plant performance. Plf is also called load factor and it is extracted from actual load profile and installed capacity. Meaning of PLF and significance of low PLF & high PLF are discussed. In any engineering lectures and electrical engineering book you can find the definition and plant load factor formula which are elaborately discussed with proper case study and example. These concept will be very much useful for gate power system and gate electrical.
