En la Comarca de Calatayud, a 839 metros de altitud, se sitúa la recoleta localidad zaragozana de Torrehermosa en la Comunidad Autónoma de Aragón del Reino de España. La iglesia barroca de Nuestra Señora de la Blanca (siglo XVII) es uno de los edificios más destacados de este pueblo, cuna natal de San Pascual Bailón y donde aún se exhibe su pila bautismal. Cerca de aquí se alza la torre del antiguo templo parroquial y el Palacio de Fabián y Fuero (siglo XVIII), de estilo neoclásico. En lo alto del municipio se conservan los restos de un castillo medieval (siglo XI). Este punto es un magnífico mirador natural para contemplar todo el entorno.

En los alrededores se suceden diversas bodegas perforadas en las paredes rocosas, la Ermita de la Virgen de la Sierra, numerosos peirones devocionales, un nevero de origen medieval y una hermosa encina centenaria. Torrehermosa forma parte del Camino del Cid, la ruta turístico-cultural que recuerda el destierro del legendario caballero medieval desde Burgos hasta Valencia.




In the Calatayud region, at 839 meters above sea level, the secluded Zaragoza town of Torrehermosa is located in the Autonomous Community of Aragon of the Kingdom of Spain. The baroque church of Nuestra Señora de la Blanca (17th century) is one of the most notable buildings in this town, the birthplace of San Pascual Bailón and where his baptismal font is still displayed. Nearby stands the tower of the old parish temple and the Palace of Fabián y Fuero (18th century), in neoclassical style. At the top of the municipality the remains of a medieval castle (11th century) are preserved. This point is a magnificent natural viewpoint to contemplate the entire environment. In the surroundings there are various wineries drilled into the rock walls, the Hermitage of the Virgen de la Sierra, numerous devotional peirones, a snowfield of medieval origin and a beautiful centuries-old oak. Torrehermosa is part of the Camino del Cid, the tourist-cultural route that remembers the exile of the legendary medieval knight from Burgos to Valencia.
