There is a reason the Papa Doble was never on El Flordita's menu and had to be requested. Because it wasn't the Hemingway Daiquiri. I'll show you how to make a historically accurate Hemingway Daiquiri and Papa Doble.

HEMINGWAY DAIQUIRI RECIPE:
• 1/2 oz (15 mL) Lime Juice
• 1 tsp (5 mL) Grapefruit Juice
• 1 tsp (5 mL) Maraschino Liqueur
• 2 oz (60 mLs) White Rum

PAPA DOBLE RECIPE:
• 1 oz (30 mL) Lime Juice
• 4 oz (120 mLs) Aged Rum

INSTRUCTIONS:
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice with crushed ice. Vigorously shake the drink till the sides of the tin are frosted. Dirty, pour the whole shaker into a lowball glass for the Hemingway Daiquiri and serve the shaker with a straw for the Papa Doble.
