Jayaramu was working in the food and beverage department of a hotel in Mysuru when he lost his job during the pandemic. Left with no recourse to earn a living, he began a sugarcane juice stall, but with a twist. Given his experience in mixing cocktails and mocktails in his previous job, he tried crushing seasonal, fresh fruits and herbs in the cane to create an interesting, healthy yet refreshingly delicious take on the humble sugarcane juice. I visited Ambaari Juice stall a few weeks ago and tasted a bevy of his offerings - malabar plum, mango, mixed fruit, pomegranate, muskmelon, et al - in sugar cane juice. Definitely something to try when you are in the palace city next.
