NEVER SEAL A BAG BEFORE STERILIZATION!!!
Sealing bags before loading into your autoclave or PC will cause the bags to blow up like a balloon and explode. This is dangerous and has the potential to dent your equipment.

To make a vacuum using your PC/autoclave: with the equipment at pressure (15.1 psi) simply open your pressure release valve and allow the steam to completely release. This can be done once, at the end of the cycle, or it can be done twice, both at the end and at any time in the beginning. Remember to close the valve cover if you choose to do it in the beginning of the cycle. Otherwise you’ll be there a long time wondering why you’re not at pressure.
