Hope in the Darkness- Adventus Day 1

Day 1- introduction and Glorious Hope

Welcome Dear Brothers and Sisters, I am so excited you are here. Together we will dive deep into the word of God. We will see hope in a world that seems so hopeless. We don’t have to seek the world for saving, for God so loved us that He sent His one and only Son Jesus to save us. Scripture is full of a love story for humanity. The love Adonai pours out on us through Jesus. We will look at the prophecy written in scripture that is undeniable that Jesus is the Messiah whom God sent. We will seek the Old testament for the words the prophets spoke of the messiah, then we will see how Jesus fulfilled these prophecies and the hope it gives us for the future that our Messiah, our bridegroom, will return for us, the church, His bride.
Our hope is in a kingdom that’s here and now. That every born again believer now lives in and has access to. An inheritance Christ has given us now upon His death. That in Him there is freedom, healing, peace and love. That every where we look there He is. That every season, not just in the Christmas season we should be looking for Jesus everywhere and talking about the prophecies written and fulfilled and those to come.

There are approximately 2500 prophecies written in the old and New Testament. There are only about 500 left that haven’t been fulfilled yet and most point to Jesus.

This is going to be an 18 day series diving into some of the prophecies written and seeing how Christ fulfilled them. Then we’ll be turning to the second coming. The second adventus when Christ returns for His bride and the wrath of God is poured out.

My hope in this series is to give you hope in the darkness of this world. So in every season you find yourself in you can know Him more and trust his word. To have hope in a future that is far greater than you can imagine for those who believe.
I pray by the end of this 3 week study you will find yourself in love with Jesus with hope for a life this world cannot give. Hope for the power of a kingdom that reigns today, bringing deliverance, healing, peace, hope, love and gifts beyond measure. Shalom, peace, healing and health be multiplied to you all.
