✤ ѕтory :

ᴊᴇᴀɴ ɢʀᴀʏ holds a power that she’s never known and struggles to control it. ᴛʜᴇ ᴅᴀʀᴋʟɪɴɢ needed power. they first met when ᴊᴇᴀɴ underwent trials and tests for her powers, he’d helped her escape. unbeknownst to ᴊᴇᴀɴ , ᴛʜᴇ ᴅᴀʀᴋʟɪɴɢ was merely abusing her trust.

she hated her power, wanting to rid herself of this burden he called a ‘gift’. when they meet again, ᴊᴇᴀɴ begs him to help her, take her power even. it’s not until she almost gives it up that she lets herself in his mind and realises what he’s really doing. he wanted her power for himself, to take over the world and had been manipulating her to get there.

ᴊᴇᴀɴ knew what she needed to do. so with one last fight, she wanted to take out two birds with one stone. they were both too dangerous for the world. even in his last breath he tried pleading but she was ready and willing to sacrifice herself and her gift, even if she had to take him with her.
