‘The Elephant Whisperers’, has won the Best Documentary Short award at the 95th Academy awards. The film is based on the deep bond between a pair of elephants and their humans, directed by Kartiki Gonsalves, and produced by Guneet Monga. The Oscar winning Elephant Whisperers documentary explores the bond between Raghu, an orphaned baby elephant, and his caretakers - a mahout couple named Bomman and Bellie, who belong to the Kattunayakan tribe.
