désert emerged from a serendipitous encounter amidst the serene expanse of Joshua Tree. our brief yet profound collaboration unfolded spontaneously—echoing the enigmatic spirit of the desert. each piece is entirely improvised—capturing the natural, organic interaction between us, and reflecting both our intuitive musical connection and the true essence of the moment.
inspired by the passage from dawn to dusk, our improvisation distilled into eleven tracks—mirroring a journey from illumination to obscurity, from simplicity to intricacy, and from strangers to kindred spirits. melodies convey transcendence and harmonies channel synchronicity—weaving an unforeseen, timeless narrative.
désert beckons one to immerse oneself in the remote beauty and mystical essence of the land—capturing its wild spirit while reflecting on the cultures that have revered these sacred spaces. it embraces the past, meditates on the present, and offers a memento mori for the future—all through ethereal, ambient music that fosters a profound sense of being and universality.
