Hi Everyone! Have you tried century eggs before? They are also called thousand year egg! People in China has been making and eating century eggs for hundreds of years and it is really delicious if you made it right! This recipe only requires a few ingredients and it is a classic century egg salad! Here is the recipe
Ingredients: Century Egg 2, Cilantro 1, Cayenne pepper 4 (can substitute with Thai Chili or other kinds of red hot chilies), jalapeño pepper 1, Garlic 2 cloves, cooking oil 2 tbsp, soy sauce 2 tbsp, salt 1/4 tsp, sugar 1tsp, vinegar 1tbsp, chili oil 1tbsp, sesame oil 1tsp
Peel the century eggs, and cut each in half, then cut into 1/4 slices, place on a plate.
Cut cilantro, peppers into small pieces. Mince garlic.
Put minced garlic and chopped peppers in a bowl.
Heat oil in a pan until almost smoking, pour on top the minced garlic and pepper and it should sizzle. Let it cool.
Add in soy sauce, salt, sugar, vinegar, chili oil, sesame oil and cilantro in the bowl, mix well. This will be the sauce.
Add sauce to each century egg with a spoon and then pour the rest of the sauce in the middle part of the plate.
Serve.
