Houthis Warn Saudi, UAE ‘Will Pay’ For Backing ‘US’ New Yemen Ground War’, Train ‘Special Forces’

On 21 April the Houthis said they launched two “qualitative military operations” targeting US aircraft carriers USS Truman in the Red Sea and USS Carl Vinson in the Arabian Sea with missiles and drones. They also claimed drone attacks on Israeli sites in Ashkelon and Eilat. This followed US air strikes on Sanaa that killed 12 and wounded 30, according to the Houthi-run health ministry. Houthi political chief Mahdi al-Mashat said the “invasion of Yemen failed” and warned of consequences if Arab countries join any new offensive. A Houthi source said any such move would “cost them beyond expectations”. Meanwhile, a Chinese satellite firm denied aiding the group and called US accusations “entirely fabricated”.
