Use any tools discussed at your own risk. If you have chronic dizziness or chronic pain (neural circuit disorders, neuroplastic disorders, psychophysiological disorders, mindbody disorders, TMS, etc.), it's quite likely that you have trouble experiencing anger or rage. This may mean you don't often feel angry (if at all), OR you might be irritable or explosive about little things.
Maybe you learned in your past that anger was not a safe emotion, or you have expectations of yourself or personality traits that lead you to avoid feeling anger. In both cases, anger tends to build up inside and lead to the kinds of danger signals in your brain that keep chronic symptoms going.
This exercise will help you practice feeling anger in your body. This exercise is not encouraging you to ACT angry, but to allow the feeling of anger to BE in your body. When anger is welcomed instead of pushed away, it doesn't build up and cause as many problems. Anger is just a signal that there is something you need or that there is something wrong. When you are aware of your anger and allow it to be, you will be better able to understand your needs and make sure they are met.
It might not be easy at first. You might need to do it every day for a while until you get the hang of it. Give it a try.
