Copper Lacing Using Floetrol & No Silicone! | Acrylic Pour Painting | Abstract Art for Beginners

031- This acrylic pour painting was my first try at creating some really nice cells without silicone. I tried Floetrol for the first time and it worked really well! It definitely reacts much differently than silicone, but creates the cells and lacing we all love.

I used 1 part paint to 2 parts Floetrol in my Titanium White as my cell activator, and about half an ounce each in the Copper, Light Blue and Ivory Black. I also used Artist’s Loft pouring medium to thin my paints. I really liked how well the colours blended together in the swipe and although I had more white than I needed, it did make for a great cell/lacing reaction.

I love this type of swipe pour, which can be great for any level of artist, including beginners. A swipe pour can still still surprise you no matter how much you plan for a certain outcome!
