**The Loy Brothers were from the area around Dayton, Ohio. Marvin Loy, the fiddler, had three brothers - Herbert, Jack (John) and William. I have yet to determine which one(s) played music with him. Will update info here when I do.

The 3rd Annual Indiana Fiddlers (and Old-Time Musicians) Gathering took place July 11th - 13th, 1975. National Public Radio's 'Folk Festival USA' program was there to record on Saturday July 12th. The afternoon concert that day, which began at 2pm, was interrupted by a massive thunderstorm which caused a seven hour(!) rain delay. It was also unusually cold for July, probably related to the storm front passing through.
As broadcast on 'Folk Festival USA' over National Public Radio in the States.
There is a splice in this recording due to a tape change or flip. It is uncertain how much of the performance is missing.
Photo of Marvin Loy found online with no place/date/photographer info.
