The third video in the scapular saga is complete. It is finished. My sincere apologies to those of you following along for keeping you waiting, this trilogy was never meant to resemble the Lord of the Rings quite as much as it did with wait time, but alas life had other plans.
In this video, I draw on what I went through in the previous 2 videos about the movement of the scapula, and the muscles that cause scapular movement, to explain how exercises that cause scapular movement work.
I've broken them down by movement, so I highlight:
The Shrug - Scapular Elevation
The Tricep Dip - Scapular Depression
The Row and Reverse Fly - Scapular Retraction
Push up Plus and Cat Cow - Scapular Protraction
Overhead Press and Angled Shrug - Scapular Upward Rotation
Cable Pulldown - Scapular Downward Rotation

Jonah is a Canadian Physiotherapist who works with a primarily outpatient orthopaedic population at a clinic in Sudbury, Ontario. He completed his Master's of Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto, with his Bachelors of Sciences specialized in Human Kinetics coming from The University of Ottawa. He is also considered by his parents, wife and dogs to be a pretty cool guy.
