In Mid August we followed the KYLE railroad through Kansas and into Colorado till we could find a moving train. We finally caught up with a westbound that happened to have two of the UTAH Railway MK50-3's that call the KYLE home. With the sunlight only getting better as the day went on, it made for a great chase across eastern Colorado. The power would be spun after they reached Limon, CO for the UTAH 5006 to lead back East. This would allow for a two day chase rather than just the one, making the trip out even more worth it. With these units slowly being taken out of service, catching these fascinating locomotives out here has definitely been high on my list. Anyways, I hope y'all enjoy!
