Dragon Breath/Outrage Zekrom Solo Raid, Windy Weather + Behemoth Blade, no Eternatus

Zekrom has returned to Legendary Raid in Winter Holidays in Season: Precious Paths.

Zekrom has been defeated as Duo Raid easily in the past with different teams. However, as a Pokemon with high base stats and no double weakness, it was nowhere close to be defeated as Solo Raid.

This time around, with the two newly released forms in 2025, Crowned Sword Zacian and Black Kyurem, it is finally possible to defeat Zekrom as Solo Raid.

If it is not obvious by now, we meant there is no other viable options outside of making use of the new forms/Pokemon released in 2025. Specifically, a mix of Mega Rayquaza, Eternatus, Black Kyurem and Behemoth Blade Adventure Effect are the only choices for this Solo Raid.

As you would see, Zekrom Solo Raid might not exactly be accessible to everyone. Once again, it can still be defeated easily as Duo Raid. By making use of Party Power, budget counters like Garchomp, Excadrill and Goodra can defeat Zekrom as Duo Raid without weatherboost at Lv30.

This time, we will go for Mega Rayquaza or Eternatus with Black Kyurem in Windy weather, with Behemoth Blade option. We will pick Mega Rayquaza among Mega Rayquaza and Eternatus. This means Mega Rayquaza will team up with Black Kyurem and challenge Zekrom as Solo Raid.

With Windy weather, Black Kyurem might seems to be lagging behind compared to Mega Rayquaza, but that's assuming Black Kyurem would take 10 seconds to charge up its Freeze Shock.

Yes, we will once again aiming for Zekrom with the hardest hitting move against the team - Outrage. Black Kyurem would receive 175 damage from Windy boosted Outrage, with will be converted to 88 energy. As a result, Black Kyurem would only need 2 Dragon Tail usage to charge up Freeze Shock. This allows Black Kyurem to run vastly ahead of the raid timer.

In fact, with this battle plan, Black Kyurem contributes even more than Mega Rayquaza, even with lower attack stat and not having weather boost damage bonus on Freeze Shock. Since taking Outrage from Zekrom is our main source of firepower, the team will leave the battle and heal once they can no longer afford another hit, no matter how much HP Mega Rayquaza left.

At last, with Zekrom using more Outrage than average, the team was able to defeat it as Solo Raid in the very last second.
