Personal loss is one of the most difficult experiences that a person can go through. For Payton Johnson, she had to navigate the loss of her mom and brother at only 3 years old. In this talk, she gives us a look into her emotionally beautiful journey of growing into a blended family and how we as a society can view grief differently through the power of community. Payton is a senior studying secondary English education. She is from Fulshear, Texas, a suburb of Houston. She is most excited to grow and learn new things from the other speakers and the executive team. On campus, she is the president of Vanderprov and is also involved in Nykerk and the worship tech team.
